Smart Auto Management (SAM) offers consumer oriented, self-serve electronic kiosks that assess a vehicle’s health and provide in-depth safety and drivability reports.

• SAM is a first in class product that provides consumers with comprehensive vehicle diagnostics testing.
• SAM scans a vehicle’s On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system and checks for over 2,000 fault codes related to the engine, transmission, safety, body, chassis and other systems.  SAM then prints out a report describing the diagnosis.  SAM can analyze nearly all cars, light trucks and SUVs used in the U.S. that were manufactured after 1996.
• SAM has been developed by Environmental Systems Products (ESP), one of the largest providers of emissions testing equipment and services in the world. SAM has recently concluded beta testing, with 170 units having been deployed across the U.S. Initial results were positive when fully integrated with local operations and supported with strong marketing campaigns designed to create consumer awareness.

Smart Auto Management LLC, a subsidiary of ESP, has been conducting a pilot program designed to test SAM kiosks in the consumer marketplace since February 1, 2007.   As the pilot program concludes (October 2007), ESP plans to focus its kiosk efforts on opportunities more closely aligned with our core business.
